Decision Compass Frameworks

This area contains the conceptual and interactive models developed through the Decision Compass research programme. Each framework distinguishes established theoretical foundations from original synthesis and indicates its current validation status.

Concept in development

Intentional Teaming Design Framework

A proposed systems-oriented framework for deliberately configuring collaboration, governance, coordination and learning around a team's actual people, purpose and context.

Theoretical foundations
Draws on sociotechnical systems theory, team effectiveness research, organisational design and governance literature. Full foundations to be documented as the framework develops.
Original contribution
Proposes an integrating architecture that treats team design as a continuous configuration problem rather than a template-selection problem. Original synthesis by Ammar Sagban.
Validation status
Concept in development. Not yet empirically validated.

Decision Context Mapping Framework

The framework underpinning Decision Compass, used to connect decision conditions with potentially appropriate group decision-making mechanisms.

Theoretical foundations
Synthesises contingency theory, decision-making research (Vroom-Yetton-Jago and successors), governance literature and practitioner facilitation frameworks.
Original contribution
Operationalises contextual fit into an interactive diagnostic that recommends mechanisms rather than prescribing a single method.
Validation status
Design Science Research artefact under iterative development.
